Calibration and Inspection

KPS as your measurement Instrument calibration partner, ensure that the precision instruments are accurately calibrated with the highest degree of measurement accuracy. The Calibration and testing certificates are provided with traceability of reference equipment with International accredited labs.

We offer a comprehensive range of calibration services to cater to the diverse needs of our clients:

Valve Servicing

KPS valves testing and service facility strengthen by highly skilled valve technicians and state of the art test bench, as over the years, the valve seats wear or become contaminated with debris, and will leak gas, resulting in substantial losses or plant shutdown with high-cost impact. The periodical service and testing help to operate the plants for longer intervals.

Tanks & Flow Meter Calibration

KPS offers comprehensive Calibration Services tailored to meet your specific tank calibration needs. Our expertise covers a wide range of tank types, including Vertical Tanks, Horizontal Tanks, Sphere Tanks, Fixed Roof Tanks, Floating Roof Tanks, Domed Roof Tanks, and Conical Roof Tanks, in accordance with API standards, ISO standards, or any client-specified standard for the storage of Oil, Water, Chemicals, LPG, LNG, and more.

We employ advanced calibration methods to ensure accurate and precise results. Our calibration techniques include the Optical Reference Line Method (ORLM) and the Optical Triangulation Method (OTM). These methods enable us to achieve reliable and traceable calibration for your tanks, providing you with confidence in the accuracy of your volume measurements.

In addition to tank calibration, we also specialize in the calibration of various flow meters. Our services encompass the calibration of natural gas flow meters, air flow meters, and liquid flow meters handling liquids such as oil, petrol, and diesel. With our meticulous calibration procedures, we ensure that your flow meters deliver accurate measurements, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of your operations.

Cranes and Rigging Gear Inspection

KPS Inspectors ensure the reliability and safety of heavy equipment, complying with all legal and statutory requirements. This includes a thorough inspection of various equipment such as cranes, fork-lifts, mobile elevating work platforms, telehandlers, hooks, shackles, chain blocks, lifting belts, slings, crane ropes, chains, winch cabs, outriggers, jacks, swing mechanisms, travel mechanisms, chassis, bases, mountings, wire rope assemblies, brakes, clutches, and structural load-bearing members. The inspection process covers mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, as well as safety devices. Additionally, non-destructive testing (NDT) is performed on hooks, and visual inspections (VI) are conducted on rims and tires. Finally, a dynamic and static load test is carried out to certify the equipment's performance and safety.

Non-Destructive Examination

KPS Inspectors excel in a range of NDT techniques, including Ultrasonic Testing, which detects flaws and measures material thickness in welds, castings, and wrought products. They also specialize in Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) or (MT) for identifying surface and near-surface flaws in ferromagnetic materials such as steel and iron. Additionally, they employ Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI) or (PT) to reveal surface-breaking flaws through the use of colored or fluorescent dye. KPS Inspectors are skilled in Hardness Testing to evaluate material properties such as strength, ductility, and wear resistance. They utilize Boroscopy (Videoscope) to examine the internal conditions of tubes and welded parts in heat exchangers and boilers. Finally, Positive Material Identification (PMI) is conducted using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) analyzers to identify alloy elements and precious metals.

OCTG — Drill Pipe Inspections

OCTG - Drill Pipe Inspections are crucial for detecting defects in drill pipes used in drilling operations. These inspections, conducted according to DS-1 category-4 and category-5 standards, ensure the fitness for service, improved drilling performance, and extended life of the pipes. KPS professionals utilize Electromagnetic Inspection (EMI), Ultrasonic (UT), and Magnetic Particle (MPI) techniques, along with dimensional checks and verifications, using Tuboscope inspection equipment and software. The inspection services adhere to API, DS-1, and NS-2 standards, aiming to prevent downhole failures and resulting in time and cost savings.
